Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. A time to reflect on what we are grateful for, spend time with family and friend and gather for a wonderful meal.
It is wonderful that we have a day in our country dedicated to being thankful, but make it your intention to be grateful EVERY day. Gratitude, practiced on a regular basis will transform your life.
Here are just a few things that Gratitude can do for you:
~ What you focus on expands. The more you focus on what you are grateful for, the more things will show up for you to appreciate.
~ People love to be acknowledged. The simple act of saying ‘thank you’ to someone can transform your relationship in ways you never though possible.
~ Don’t assume saying ‘thank you’ is reserved for the major players in your life. Make it a point to thank EVERYONE, the waiter in the restaurant, the teller at the bank, the store clerk, etc. They are often the ones that are thanked the least and deserve it the most.
In addition to being grateful, take time to gather with friends and family more often. It doesn’t have to be anything over the top or fancy, but just gathering and sharing some laughs with people that you care about will make you happier.
Taking time to say thank you in your daily life and spend time with people that you care about will allow you to be that positive and upbeat person that people are naturally drawn to and want to do business with.
