What’s On Your Horizon?

Horizon pic cropTomorrow is my birthday and it’s a big one.  I turn 40!  Birthdays are great. It’s a chance to celebrate and set my intentions for the coming year. Kind of like New Years resolutions, but more fun. To me, New Years is for those things I “should” do like eating better, working out more, investing more, etc. Birthdays are a chance to dream and create something that inspires me.

The creating part is always fun. I journal, go for walks and draw out pictures for my vision board. Maybe it’s an amazing vacation with my family, a new program for my business, or a new car. Those of you that know me, know that I am a car fan with a special love for Maserati’s and Aston Martin’s

Once I have created my vision, it’s time to make it happen.

For a lot of people, the dreaming part is easy. It’s what you do next that gets tricky.

Our thoughts play games with us. We go from fired up beyond belief to thinking: we don’t know how, it will take too much time, it’s too risky, etc.

We falter in our conviction, the clock is ticking, nothing has happened yet and we give up, vowing to rock it twice as hard next year. But do you really want to wait another year to create something amazing?

Three things that help me each year are:

  1. Declare what you want out loud. Don’t keep your goals a secret. There is power in putting your stake in the ground.
  2. Take one small action each day to get you there. The compound effect works for success just like interest in the bank
  3. Get support along the way. No one said you had to do it alone.

Here’s how that looks for me this year with one of my goals that I am most excited about:

My big goal for this next year: Grow my coaching company so that I can impact more people. It melts my heart to see someone get the light back in their eyes and realize “I can do this”. To see someone go from feeling frustrated, stuck, overwhelmed or scared to feeling excited and empowered. To stop beating themselves up for what they are doing wrong and realize what they are doing right. To feel the fear and do it anyway. I would be the happiest girl in the world to spend the rest of my life helping others this way.

My actions that I take each day: Each day I commit to “publishing something” to support my goal. Maybe it’s teaching a class, writing a blog post, writing a new class, or sending an encouraging email to someone. It all supports my goal of empowering and motivating others and moves me forward

My support systems include my coach, Rhonda, who encourages me, pushes me and holds me accountable / my husband, Gary, who has always been my biggest fan and my assistant, Kristan. Our house could not run without her.

What are your goals?  You know, that big one you are afraid to tell anyone about because it’s so big it freaks you out. Or worse yet, what if you put it out there and it doesn’t happen? How are you going to get there?

One of the biggest things I see people struggle with is implementation.

The big vision is easy, it’s the next step that is tricky. If you are there right now, I’m excited to share with you my new Action and Implementation Guide.

It’s the 5 steps that I use to accomplish any goal or project. And if you purchase between now and Sunday, use the code “Action” for $10 off. My way of sharing the birthday love.

It’s Not Just Your Story – It’s Everyone Else’s Too

August 28, 2026

I’ve spent years working on my own limiting beliefs — but I discovered one at the Abraham Hicks workshop last weekend that I had completely missed. Esther, aka Abraham Hicks, has been a leader in mindset, energy, and attraction for decades. My mom actually took my sister and me to a workshop 30 years ago,…

Bet On Yourself VS The Market

August 21, 2026

Last week I shared how the end of August is a weird time – wanting to savor summer, while also shifting back into work mode. Turns out I’m not the only one this happens to! Thank you for all of the notes and feedback. I’ve found that when I’m not taking action, I spend WAY…

I Used To Dread The Last 2 Weeks Of August

August 14, 2026

Thirty years in real estate has taught me a lot of things. One of the best is this: I can finally see my own patterns. Like the one where I get twitchy every year mid-August. Part of me wants summer to stretch on forever. Part of me is itching for routine, order, and the satisfaction…

Beliefs = Actions = Results – It Matters Where You Start

August 7, 2026

August is an interesting month for me. I’m savoring the relaxed pace of summer, while also starting to think about Fall and shifting back into work mode. With a shift in focus I naturally start wondering what will happen. Will I be busy? Where will my clients come from? Will they be buyers or sellers?…

What Do You LOVE About Your Business?

July 24, 2026

I’m back!!! There’s been a lot going on lately, (more on that in a later post) and it’s been a few weeks since I’ve sent you a note. Needless to say, I’ve missed you! I’ve been moving through a lot of ‘life’ lately, and there’s been a common thread in my business that has surprised…

How Do You Want Summer To Feel?

June 19, 2026

Summer is often a season of expectations not meeting reality. I used to think my perfect summer meant iced tea on the patio while reading every day. For the record, that’s never happened. And for a while, I felt bad about it — like I was missing out, like I was doing summer wrong. Until…

You’re Not Behind, There Are Infinite Options

June 12, 2026

Your in box is about to fill up with emails about us being 1/2 through the year. You know – the ones that ask if you’re on track with your goals, and offer a solution to whip you into shape for the next 6 months. If you are having a great year – I celebrate…

Letting Go Of The Hustle Sounds Great, But You’ve Got a Business To Run

May 29, 2026

To be clear, I am 100% for less hustle, more flow, manifesting, receiving, regulating my nervous system, and letting things be easier. But somewhere between: “That sounds amazing” and “I’m a real estate agent – I need to generate clients and sell houses to earn an income” Things can get confusing. Because no matter how…

The Beauty of Not Doing It Alone

May 22, 2026

Thank you for being part of this community! I learned something beautiful and powerful last week. It was vulnerable to post about recalibrating, and being in the messy middle of grieving. Yet the conversations, emails, texts and notes have meant to much. To know that we are not alone is one of the greatest gifts…

Recalibrate In a Business That Runs 24/7

May 15, 2026

It happens to me every year about this time. The need to recalibrate. In a business that can run 24/7 – it’s easy to look up one day and realize, your batteries are drained and there’s no break in sight. Side note – It doesn’t have to be a 24/7 thing, but that’s a topic…
