True Confessions About Consistency

IMG_1162

When they closed gyms back in March I panicked and ordered a Peloton. I’ve wanted one for a while, and this was the nudge I needed.

There are lots of things I love about the bike – the classes, how easy it is to get in a great workout, and the tracking. If there was one thing I don’t like about the bike – it’s the tracking.

I’ve been riding consistently, or so I thought, until I pulled up the calendar on their app. The blue circles show the days I actually rode.

2 things stand out to me:

  1. There aren’t as many circles as I thought there would be
  2. They are completely sporadic – expect for Mondays. Apparently I start the week strong, but things tend to go a little haywire after that.

So I’m crushing it, sort of.

I suppose there is some consistency, I seem to ride 3 days a week, but it’s anyones guess which 3 days they will end up being.

Which got me thinking about my calls, note cards and real estate reviews. How consistent am I being – truly?

This isn’t even about doing business in a COVID world, it’s about how we run our businesses on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

If we were honest about our tracking and actually reviewed the numbers regularly, what story would they tell? Would the state of your business make a lot more sense?

Get curious. This isn’t about judgement. It’s about honesty and empowering you to move the needle in your business. The truth is in the numbers. Always.

Start from where you are. Track it. Adjust as necessary.

There are lots of messages out there about sharpening our saw right now and upping our game. Where does consistency fall in this for you?

To your success!
Nicole
