Are You Ready For What’s Coming? Bonus Points If You Know What ‘It’ is?
Is it just me, or is there some serious doom and gloom out there right now regarding the market and the economy for next year?
I was chatting with an agent who had been listening to various podcasts that talked about being ready for what’s coming, and it was stressing them out. Especially since no one actually said WHAT is coming.
Not exactly a recipe for confidence.
Here’s the deal – EVERY year is different than the one before it. So why do some years inspire confidence and others hesitation that left unattended can turn to down right dread?
It comes down to what we focus on and the value / weight we give to it.
In any market, focusing on external factors diminishes our confidence. Interest rates, inventory levels, unemployment, the stock market, etc. They are things we can not control. And this time of year can be extra hard because we all want to predict what will happen in the next 12 months relative to these factors and then anticipate their effect on the market.
And while they will have an impact, none of them are the IT that is coming.
What’s coming is life. And life precipitates real estate.
Our sole job is to be there when it does and help our clients navigate the process. Something that you have been doing for years.
So know that you’ve got this. There isn’t any big, scary ‘it’ out there that you need to be afraid of.
Sales will happen, our clients will need us more than ever, and it’s all going to be okay.
