What’s One Thing You Can Outsource To Grow Your Business?

It’s the first Friday of February. How are you doing on your goals for the year? By now, even the best laid plans start to get a little shaky. Our actions aren’t as consistent, and life starts to get busy, as does the market.
I can’t tell you how many years I have promised myself that THIS is the year I will: revamp my buyer and seller guides, get a postcard out EVERY month, be consistent on social media, the list goes on….
Sometimes, if I’m really committed, I make it to March with the postcard, and then the next one ends up going out in December when I do holiday cards and vow that next year will be different.
There are usually 2 reasons we don’t follow through on things in our business:
- We are too busy. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to get it all done.
- It’s outside our zone of genius, which means it drains our energy and takes so much longer than it should.
No matter where you are volume wise in your business, chances outsourcing would help. The awesome news is that you don’t need to hire a full time assistant, or even a part time one. There are lots of people out there wiling to work on a contact basis. Meaning, they just help when you need them and you pay them by the hour or the project.
Here are some of the things I outsource that I could do myself but won’t:
- Postcards and email newsletters
- Website management
- Staging
- Photography
- Marketing – social media
- Bookkeeping
The great part about working with contractors is that you can work with them based on their expertise. Not only do my postcards actually go out now, but they look SO much better than when I did them. And my staging was great when I did it, but now it’s amazing!
Outsourcing helps us get things done, stay consistent and up our game. Ultimately we are able to serve our clients better, make more money and have a life.
Sound good? What’s one thing you can outsource today?
To your success!
