When 1 + 1 = 1,000,000 Try This Combo For The Win
When I was younger, I was laser focused on my goals. You couldn’t knock me off track if you tried.
And then something changed.
Looking back, I could ‘blame’ it on getting married and starting a family, saying they pulled my focus.
But I KNOW that isn’t entirely true.
I love Gary and my boys with my WHOLE heart. It makes me happy to support and be there for them.
But somewhere between being laser focused on my goals and supporting others, I put myself on hold.
Can you relate?
I kept thinking, ‘my goals can wait’.
I started acting as if my desires didn’t matter as much as being there for my family .
Unknowingly (or maybe somewhere deep down I did know) I got stuck in an either / or cycle that holds so many of us from fulfilling our true potential.
For the record, nobody ever asked me to put myself second or said that what I wanted didn’t matter.
I thought I was doing the ‘right thing’ by just putting things on hold until I got through ‘this phase’.
It turns out ‘this phase’ can turn into forever if you aren’t careful.
It didn’t take long to figure out my plan to wait on my goals was not going to work.
I realized that aside from being cranky, I was not being a good example for my boys.
For the record, my business was super successful the whole time. So it’s not like I wasn’t making great money and running a successful real estate practice.
But if I’m being really honest, I was just going through the motions.
I was tired and exhausted and not shining my light in the way I knew I was meant to do.
If you’re nodding right now, then please know you’re not alone.
Whatever your version of this story is, you were doing the best you knew to do.
Usually when we get to this phase of life (please tell me I’m not the only one who’s been here) they tell us time management is the key. If you can just learn how to prioritize and time block all will be well.
Or spend time on what matters to you?
And where are those hours supposed to come from?
Do what lights you up. What does that even mean and when was the last time we even felt lit up??????
All of this sounds good in theory, but really it’s just adding more to your never-ending to-do list.
You need to harness your energy to:
- Simplify your life.
- Determine the right timing for tasks.
- Identify unnecessary actions.
- Become the best version of yourself.
Shifts that are easy, powerful, AND doable when you know how to work with your energy.
It’s NOT about doing MORE. When you learn to use your energy, you may end up doing a lot LESS!!! Sounds amazing, right?
When we feel like our personal desires don’t matter, we disconnect from our energy. Which causes us to lose focus and makes everything harder.
Once you reconnect with your energy, you can learn how to shift it from being scattered to a powerful force that you can direct to create all that you desire.
YOU DESERVE to live an amazing life.
Your doing so not only serves you, it benefits everyone around you. Especially your children.
What if they believed that they were worthy from the start and had a framework to lean into their own unique goals and desires? Isn’t that the best gift you could ever give them?
If you are ready to be that beautiful example, I have an invitation for you.
Join us for this round of Everyday Energy to connect with your true goals and desires, and remove the road blocks that are holding you back. AND join myself and Diane Terry for Business Planning to map out the path to take your ideas and make them a reality.

Beliefs = Actions = Results – It Matters Where You Start
August is an interesting month for me. I’m savoring the relaxed pace of summer, while also starting to think about Fall and shifting back into work mode. With a shift in focus I naturally start wondering what will happen. Will I be busy? Where will my clients come from? Will they be buyers or sellers?…
What Do You LOVE About Your Business?
I’m back!!! There’s been a lot going on lately, (more on that in a later post) and it’s been a few weeks since I’ve sent you a note. Needless to say, I’ve missed you! I’ve been moving through a lot of ‘life’ lately, and there’s been a common thread in my business that has surprised…
How Do You Want Summer To Feel?
Summer is often a season of expectations not meeting reality. I used to think my perfect summer meant iced tea on the patio while reading every day. For the record, that’s never happened. And for a while, I felt bad about it — like I was missing out, like I was doing summer wrong. Until…
You’re Not Behind, There Are Infinite Options
Your in box is about to fill up with emails about us being 1/2 through the year. You know – the ones that ask if you’re on track with your goals, and offer a solution to whip you into shape for the next 6 months. If you are having a great year – I celebrate…
Letting Go Of The Hustle Sounds Great, But You’ve Got a Business To Run
To be clear, I am 100% for less hustle, more flow, manifesting, receiving, regulating my nervous system, and letting things be easier. But somewhere between: “That sounds amazing” and “I’m a real estate agent – I need to generate clients and sell houses to earn an income” Things can get confusing. Because no matter how…
The Beauty of Not Doing It Alone
Thank you for being part of this community! I learned something beautiful and powerful last week. It was vulnerable to post about recalibrating, and being in the messy middle of grieving. Yet the conversations, emails, texts and notes have meant to much. To know that we are not alone is one of the greatest gifts…
Recalibrate In a Business That Runs 24/7
It happens to me every year about this time. The need to recalibrate. In a business that can run 24/7 – it’s easy to look up one day and realize, your batteries are drained and there’s no break in sight. Side note – It doesn’t have to be a 24/7 thing, but that’s a topic…
It’s Okay For Things To Be Different
I often find myself comparing things. I compare my business this year to years past.I compare my health and fitness to where I was 10 years ago.I compare how I show up and experience different life events. On the one hand – it makes perfect sense. Our brains crave predictability. It calms our nervous system.…
I Used To Be So Afraid Of This…
I used to dread client conversations. Especially pricing conversations with sellers in a softer market, like we are in right now. I was afraid of letting them down. It came up this week with a new listing. They bought at the height of the market in 2022. Today’s prices are lower than that. How do…
What If Your Income Didn’t Depend On The Market?
There are multiple markets occurring right now – in the same cities, on the same streets. Sellers are experiencing it one way. Buyers are experiencing it another. And agents? All over the board. Same market. Completely different results. So what’s the difference? What you believe. What you look for. And how you show up. Two…
