All work and no play makes us all dull, boring and, let’s face it, cranky. I know that the market is busy right now but it’s still important to take time and re-energize.
Whenever someone tells me that and I’m super busy, I look at them like they are crazy. How could I honestly take time off when there is so much going on?!?! If you are in an area where things have heated up and homes are selling quickly, you may be thinking that as well.
Taking time to recharge does not have to mean taking 2 weeks and heading out of town. Certainly, there is a time and place for that but we all know, when the tank is empty and we are worn out, the timing isn’t always right for something along those lines.
The good news is that you don’t always need that. Taking an afternoon off to enjoy a walk in the sunshine, reading a book on your deck or having lunch with a friend can do wonders to boost your energy and reset your attitude.
With the Fourth of July landing on a Wednesday this year, it is the perfect week to carve out some time for yourself. Pull up your calendar right now and block out at least 3 hours where you are doing something for you.
To your success!
