Letter to My Younger Self

Letter to my younger self

Today is my birthday. For me, birthdays are a beautiful mix of celebration, anticipation and reflection.

This post is dedicated to reflections. Things I wish I could tell my younger self.

Imposter syndrome is normal!

You’ve spent so much time doubting yourself. Feeling like everyone else knows what they are doing while you’re still trying to figure out what you want to be when you grow up. News flash – EVERYONE feels that way from time to time! It’s part of life.

So the next time it shows up, and it will, give those feeling of doubt a sly smile and a wink that says – I see you. Thank you for confirming what I already knew – I’m about to take a big step forward and this is part of the process. I chose to ignore you and move forward. Thanks for letting me know I’m on the right path.

Life is meant to be actively created not passively experienced.

You can create ANYTHING you want in your life. When you step up and truly commit to something, magic happens. So many people living a life of reacting. Very few ask themselves what they want and then actively go out and create it.

One of your greatest gifts is the ability to take action, even when you feel like an imposter. Dream big. Your doing so inspires everyone around you.

Energy and alignment over effort.

Energy is the first component in everything you will do. When you ‘get into the zone’ with your energy amazing things happen. Everything flows more easily, timing works out, and life is more fun. One of your greatest gifts is doing this for yourself and being able to teach others how to do the same. When you work with energy, synchronicities become part of your every day life, not arbitrary, fleeting moments.

I hope this resonates and inspires you in some way in your own life and business. My favorite thing when I write these notes is when someone responds and says ‘you must have read my mind, I needed that today’.

I’m curious, what you tell your younger self?

To your success!
Nicole

PS: I wanted to share that my good friend, Diane Terry, is hosting a Transitions Workshop on April 24th. If you’ve got shifts coming up in your business, this class is for you.  Especially if you are looking to retire in the next few years and want to maximize the value of your business.
