Warning! Comparison Monster Coming Your Way

July 1st is next Tuesday, and you know what that means…
Your in box is about to be flooded with emails about being 1/2 way through the year asking if you’re on track with your goals. And right about the same time, you’ll see agents posting on social media about how they just closed another house and are having their best year ever.
It’s the perfect environment for the comparison monster to show up and do some of their best work. Mine showed up last week louder than it has been for a very long time. It has me doubting EVERYTHING. Am I a good agent? Does my message matter?
Quite honestly, I would have settled for feeling like a good agent last week. My comparison monster had me on the fast track to loserville.
I’m telling you this because I want you to know that we ALL have a version of our own comparison monster that shows up – uninvited. I work with my energy daily, and it can still catch me off guard and I sometimes give it more attention that it deserves. (For the record, any attention is more than it deserves.)
The BEST way to tame the monster? Give voice to it and surrounding yourself with people that love, support and believe in you.
I went for a walk with a good friend, and as I described all of the ways my comparison monster was making me feel insecure I could hear just how funny and completely untrue they were. From there I was able to let go of my fears and get back to being me. The me that is a great agent (better than good) and writes these notes to let you know that you are not alone.
Yes, I meditated, journaled and did a lot of energy work, but when the voices of insecurity are loudest the BEST thing you can do it share them with someone else who can reflect back to you all of the great things you have and do. Because you ARE amazing in so many ways.
Feel like you could use some help taming your comparison monster? I’m opening up a few select private coaching spots to help agents build the amazing business and life they dreamt of when they got started in real estate. We will work on your energy and mindset and the tactical skills that will make you proud of who you are, how you showed up and what you created.

Hint: Nothing is not the correct answer. Actual answer: The Universe takes over and decides to help. I’ve been meaning to ask for and hire more support in my business for a while now. I have a million reasons why I haven’t done it. Apparently the Universe got tired of it being on my to…

Tomorrow is the 4th. This is your reminder – it’s okay to take time off. Just because technology allows us to work anytime, anywhere doesn’t mean you should. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do, is to do nothing productive at all. Enjoy the day and be present. To your success! Nicole

Summer officially starts today! I live for the long days, spur of the moment dinners on the deck with friends, the warm weather, and relaxed vibe. I’ll admit it, I’m not great at asking for help. Even when I know I need it. There are a variety of reason I struggle with asking: I’m busy and taking a step back to asses what I can outsource feels like one more task I don’t have time for. The task is something I’m…

Closings, getting mutual on a contract, receiving a referral – there are lots of wins in real estate. Each one brings a shot of adrenaline that feels amazing.
