Letting Go Of The Hustle Sounds Great, But You’ve Got a Business To Run

To be clear, I am 100% for less hustle, more flow, manifesting, receiving, regulating my nervous system, and letting things be easier.

But somewhere between:

“That sounds amazing”
and
“I’m a real estate agent – I need to generate clients and sell houses to earn an income”

Things can get confusing. Because no matter how aligned you are, this will always be a business that requires action.

What does it mean to let go of the hustle, and still make money? And to be clear – good money. Money that lets you go on vacation, out for nice dinners, fund your retirement, and whatever else makes you happy.

I’ve found that letting go of hustle happens in phases. There are adjustments periods as we recalibrate, and learn to trust a new way of showing up.

Here’s what I’ve been working on lately:

  • A shorter to-do list. When I’m running around checking things off my list I’m efficient, but I’m rarely present or effective. I’ve eliminated some things, rescheduled others, and outsourced whatever I can.
  • Focusing on what makes an impact. Being face to face with clients, creating marketing strategies, and knowing the market. Things that have a direct impact on my client relationships, their real estate success, and my income.
  • Making a call vs sending a text. Texts are convenient. Phone calls are effective. There’s a time and a place for both.
  • Getting comfortable with free space on my calendar. The more down time I have, the easier it is to be creative, and find solutions to problems.
  • Realizing I can control the process, but not the outcome. I have a great process for both my buyer and seller clients. One that sets them up for success. However, I can’t control how things play out. Sometimes market times are longer for listings, and we have to do a price reduction. Or, Buyers need creative ideas on how to navigate the market. Realizing my job isn’t to force an outcome, but to ensure that my clients are equipped with the very best strategies and options has helped me sleep infinitely better at night.
  • Letting go of fear and leaning into trust. Breathing, relaxing, and trusting that things will work out is a daily practice that I have done for years. The more I can stay in this space, the better things seem to flow.
  • Embracing laughter, joy and play. Whether at work, out on a walk, or spending time with family and friends. The more I can stay in this energy, the easier everything seems to be.

What about you? What’s one shift that would help you hustle a little less and let things be easier?

To your success!
Nicole
