Balance Is Back In The Market – It’s Going To Be A Great Finish To 2022
August is one of my favorite months. The weather is beautiful, the days are still long, but starting to shorten, reminding us to savor every moment, and we are still in the free flowing schedule of summer.
As August begins to roll into September, I can’t help but feel the tug of needing some structure and the feeling that one of these days I’ll have to focus on work again. Which makes me wonder what the rest of the year will look like.
Although it’s usually a quiet month for real estate, August has managed to bring balance back to the real estate market.
Buyers are over the hesitancy they experienced in June and the first part of July and motivated to buy a property. They’ve come to terms with interest rates and are confident that homeownership is still the way to go.
Sellers are pricing their homes for the current market, which means market times are dropping. It’s good news for everyone. Yes, even Sellers. I realize they may have made more if they had sold in March, but chances are they still have a lot of equity.
With this new found balance of motivated buyers and realistic sellers comes a market that offers breathing room. Something that we have been missing for the last few years. And so, I invite you to take a deep breath and look forward to re-engaging. I think this Fall will be a strong one.
