Expand Your Window of Opportunity

Crisp mornings, pumpkin spice lates, leaves that change to vibrant hues of gold and orange – and a clock that seems to tick louder by the day when it comes to income goals for 2024. Welcome to Fall.
In the past, I would get really anxious right about now. I would look at the calendar and wonder if there is enough time left to pull it all together?
I’m usually pretty busy in the Fall, yet there was often an underlying concern, curiosity, anxiousness, fear, panic (the adjectives varied depending on the day) feeling that there might not be enough time no matter how hard I worked.
And yet, when I can get myself to relax, things go great. The sales flow, the money comes in and I travel quite a bit in the Fall.
For me, anything that feels constricting – timeframes or otherwise – shuts me down. It’s all I can focus on.
A big secret to my success has been learning to shift my focus to believing that there is always plenty of time for things to happen and really trusting that. When I’m in this space things flow easily. I’m able to filter what makes the most sense / has the highest return, and I’m more open to seeing and acting on opportunities that I would have otherwise missed.
Shifting your focus from ‘there’s not enough time’ to ‘there’s plenty of time’ regardless of what the calendar or the clock on the wall is telling you takes intention in the beginning, but the results are worth it.
Here are some things that helped me:
- Spend a few minutes each morning meditating or visualizing an expansive space with room for everything.
- Take small actions each day to move forward
- Choose to see everything, every conversation, every interaction as a chance to connect
- The more you can be in the present the easier it is to let go of stress about the future
- Let go of how – easier said than done, but it’s a game changer!
Give these a try. And if you have ways of staying focused and not getting caught up in time, hit reply and let me know. I’m always curious what works for others.
To your success!
Nicole
