I Stopped Waiting For The World To Change… That’s When Everything Did

Headshot 1

I cringe when I look back at the things I used to believe about my business.

Things like:

  • Reducing my fee would make it easier for clients to hire me – It didn’t. It showed that I didn’t believe in myself and more often than not, they chose another agent.
  • Eventually someone will tell me I’m worth my full fee – It never happened. I had to decide I was worth it. Once I believed in me, so did my clients.
  • August and December are slow months – If I’m on vacation, they are slow. If I’m focused on business, they are some of my busiest months. It’s about when you show up, not the time of year.
  • When interest rates go up sales go down – Rates and inventory affect strategy, but not sales. There are always clients out there that need our help.
  • I need a big, expensive marketing plan – Real estate is a contact sport. Hiding behind fancy marketing didn’t work for me. Staying connected with people in my community grew my business faster and for a lot less money.
  • I needed to be available 24/7 – Clients want to know when they can reach us and be confident we will get back to them. No one needs real estate advice at 2am.
  • Buyers never get their first offer accepted and have to look at dozens of homes before they buy – Each buyer is unique. Some take a while, but many are ready to go. Most of my buyers find their home in 30 days or less.

For a long time, I believed these things were true, and out of my control to change.

Until I learned how powerful energy and mindset are when applied to business.

Here’s what my business looks like now based on what I believe:

  • I can magnetize clients to me anytime I want – I can teach you how to do this too
  • My clients are happy to pay my fee
  • I travel 5-6 times a year and maintain my income
  • There is always money available to save and invest
  • My clients are fun to work with, and they value my input.
  • I am confident in my ability to create business, which means I am comfortable taking time off and actually enjoying it

Business is meant to be fun, and profitable.

I’ve talked to a lot of agents lately who are stuck. You are more powerful than you realize when it comes to your business and income.

Helping agents shift to being in control of what shows up, rather than hoping for the best is my passion. Which is why I’m bringing back Lead With Energy – Close With Confidence starting April 22nd. The shifts agents experiences in the last round were powerful. Click here to find out more and join us.

To your success!

How Do You Want Summer To Feel?

June 19, 2026

Summer is often a season of expectations not meeting reality. I used to think my perfect summer meant iced tea on the patio while reading every day. For the record, that’s never happened. And for a while, I felt bad about it — like I was missing out, like I was doing summer wrong. Until…

Letting Go Of The Hustle Sounds Great, But You’ve Got a Business To Run

May 29, 2026

To be clear, I am 100% for less hustle, more flow, manifesting, receiving, regulating my nervous system, and letting things be easier. But somewhere between: “That sounds amazing” and “I’m a real estate agent – I need to generate clients and sell houses to earn an income” Things can get confusing. Because no matter how…

The Beauty of Not Doing It Alone

May 22, 2026

Thank you for being part of this community! I learned something beautiful and powerful last week. It was vulnerable to post about recalibrating, and being in the messy middle of grieving. Recalibrate In a Business That Runs 24/7

May 15, 2026

It happens to me every year about this time. The need to recalibrate. In a business that can run 24/7 – it’s easy to look up one day and realize, your batteries are drained and there’s no break in sight. Side note – It doesn’t have to be a 24/7 thing, but that’s a topic…

It’s Okay For Things To Be Different

May 1, 2026

I often find myself comparing things. I compare my business this year to years past.I compare my health and fitness to where I was 10 years ago.I compare how I show up and experience different life events. On the one hand – it makes perfect sense. Our brains crave predictability. It calms our nervous system.…

I Used To Be So Afraid Of This…

April 24, 2026

I used to dread client conversations. Especially pricing conversations with sellers in a softer market, like we are in right now. I was afraid of letting them down. It came up this week with a new listing. They bought at the height of the market in 2022. Today’s prices are lower than that. How do…

What If Your Income Didn’t Depend On The Market?

April 10, 2026

There are multiple markets occurring right now – in the same cities, on the same streets. Sellers are experiencing it one way. Buyers are experiencing it another. And agents? All over the board. Same market. Completely different results. So what’s the difference? What you believe. What you look for. And how you show up. Two…

Permission To Fall Apart: The Truth About Resetting Your Energy

April 3, 2026

What if your next breakthrough is on the other side of your next melt down? There’s a side to energy and mindset work that no one talks about. Most teachings only talk about being positive. As in – ignore whatever you truly feel and pretend everything is amazing in hopes that you eventually believe it.…

How you finish that sentence predicts your year. What you say creates your story, which becomes your belief. It determines your results and your experience of the world. The things you focus on, how you chose to view them – it’s all part of the recipe that creates your life. Some of you are reading…
