I’m The Agent Who…
How you finish that sentence predicts your year.
What you say creates your story, which becomes your belief.
It determines your results and your experience of the world. The things you focus on, how you chose to view them – it’s all part of the recipe that creates your life.
Some of you are reading things thinking – I hear you. I know this. I’m on it.
Others are thinking – I hear you. I know this. I’m not sure how to shift out of the loop I’m stuck in.
And another group is thinking – this is ridiculous, I’m just acknowledging what is. We have to live in reality, not some made up version of the world.
Here’s the thing. Neuroscience shows us that we actually live in our own individual reality based on our thoughts and stories. My experience of the world is different than yours.
It’s not about one being better or worse than another.
It’s about owning how powerful we are as individuals to create the world we live in.
Look around – there are agents having different experiences of the market. Some are finding clients easily and closing transactions. Others can’t find any clients and are really struggling.
Same market – different results.
What’s the difference? How they answer the question – I am the agent who…
Is your answer, I’m the agent who: struggles, can’t find any clients, and has clients dropping out because the stock market is down?
Or
Is your answer, I’m the agent who: Is born to guide my clients through markets like these, is filled with a pipeline of clients ready to buy and sell?
If you’re stuck in the first group – the one struggling, there is good news. You can change your story and ultimately change your results.
Start by changing your answer to one that supports the kind of agent you want to be.
It might feel awkward at first, even a little silly, but eventually you will notice a shift. Small moments, conversations and interactions that support your new story.
