Stop Waiting, Your Time Is Now
Last night I got to witness something magical.
That moment when someone puts a stake in the ground, takes the leap, does the thing, and puts themselves out there. It was AWESOME!
Nancy is a fellow real estate agent and amazing friend. She’s got a knack for telling stories and weaving in reminders that life is scary, it’s okay to be a novice, and our role is to step up and do it anyway. I’ve heard Nancy speak before, but yesterday was different. She decided that she wants to do more speaking and needed to test her material.
So she booked a theater, invited her friends and put together an incredible evening with the intention of doing more of them.
Last night was amazing, what was even more fun, was being with Nancy on the journey from its inception. The moment she owned her desire to speak more. The bravery it took to book the space and tell people about it. All of the ups and downs, twists and turns, moments of ‘I’ve got this’ that can just as easily turn into ‘who do I think I am to be doing this?’
It was the creative process in it’s truest form.
Here’s the thing, there isn’t any way to avoid it. In order to create something great, you have to be willing to go through the fire to get to the other side.
But the other side is so worth it. And to see the theater full of people there to love and support Nancy was magical.
So let this be your nudge. Whatever it is – maybe it’s a big leap like launching a speaking career. Or maybe it’s an acknowledgment that something in your life needs to shift and you have been dragging your feet.
Whatever it is – if you are waiting for the Universe to tell you the time is right, they won’t. It’s up to you to decide.
The beautiful thing is, once you’ve made the decision, the rest of the world will show up to support you in the most magical ways.
